I am a Psychologist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner licensed in the state of New Jersey and many other states. I trained at Seton Hall University, where I got my Masters in Counseling, and then at Fordham University, where I received a PhD in Counseling Psychology. I did my internship at the Rutgers University Center (CAPS), and my postdoctoral fellowship at NYU’s Counseling and Wellness center (CWS).
I have a private practice in Scotch Plains, NJ, where I work with clients aged 16 to 86. Along with stress, ADHD, anxiety and depression I specialize in working with trauma in all of its manifestations, including childhood sexual and physical abuse, domestic violence, assaults, motor vehicle accidents, and medical trauma. I offer sessions via telehealth or face to face.
I have completed a 3-year training program in Somatic Experiencing ® through the Somatic Experiencing Training Institute; along with being certified as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner I serve as a Senior Training Assistant and Training Coordinator in the SE training program.
I have also completed a 2-year training program in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and am a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. I have completed the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program two times and use mindfulness regularly in my personal practice and work as a psychotherapist.
